Better parks, community schools, recreation centers and libraries are on the minds of City Council as they passed a Philadelphia soda tax last month. The new tax was passed in an effort to invest and support overall wellness in children living in Philadelphia. The soda tax is not only intended to encourage physical activity, but also help children reduce their consumption of sugary, carbonated beverages that have no nutritional value! Thus, making it a win-win in promoting health and wellness among all Philly kids!
Please help Values Partnerships and the entire faith community celebrate MomsRising, their efforts and contribution to improving the health of all Philadelphia children.
